PDF Editor — Edit Existing Text in PDFs
Change text directly in PDFs using Python WebAssembly. Files never leave your browser.

Initializing Python environment in your browser (~3 MB first time)
How it works
This editor uses Pyodide (Python compiled to WebAssembly) to run PyMuPDF in your browser. This gives the same forensic-level access to PDF internals that desktop PDF editors have.
What you can do
- Edit existing text: Actually changes text in the PDF's content streams (not just overlays)
- Add text overlays: Type text and position it on pages
- Remove pages: Delete unwanted pages
- Navigate pages: Preview and edit any page
Technical details
The editor runs the same PyMuPDF code that professional PDF tools use, compiled to run in your browser via WebAssembly. First load downloads ~3MB of Python runtime and libraries. Subsequent edits are fast.
Text changes modify the PDF's content streams directly - the same way desktop PDF editors work. This is true editing, not overlays.
Privacy
Everything runs in your browser. The Python environment, PyMuPDF library, and your PDF all stay on your device. No uploads to any server. The file never leaves your browser.
