Most tools process files locally in your browser. Your files stay on your device. Some tools offer optional server-side processing (such as searchable PDF export) — these require explicit upload consent each time.
Local tools process file content in browser memory using JavaScript libraries. All processing happens on your device. Output downloads directly from your browser. For tools with optional server features, you must check a consent box before each upload.
On the production website, Google Analytics 4 loads only after you accept analytics cookies. It measures page visits and tool choices. We do not send file contents, filenames, passwords, editor text or form contents as analytics events. Page URLs exclude query strings and fragments. Google receives standard connection information when analytics is enabled.
You can decline or change your choice using Analytics preferences. Declining does not prevent use of the tools. Your choice is stored locally in this browser.

We load open-source libraries from CDNs (such as cdnjs.cloudflare.com and cdn.jsdelivr.net) to power features like PDF manipulation, spreadsheet parsing, and image processing. These CDN requests are standard web requests that do not include your file data.
InstantFileTools may use your browser's localStorage to save non-sensitive preferences (e.g., theme settings). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted.
