Add a visible signature

Sign PDF lets you type a name or draw a signature, select a page and choose its position. The result is a visible mark on the document. It is not a certificate-based digital signature and does not supply identity verification or an audit trail.

  1. Add the PDF you intend to sign.
  2. Choose typed or drawn input. Clear and redraw if the mark is incomplete.
  3. Select the correct page and position. Use the page preview to avoid covering surrounding text.
  4. Export the PDF and reopen the downloaded file.

Check before sending

Confirm that the signature appears on the intended page, fits the signature line and remains readable at normal zoom. Check the rest of the page for accidental overlap. Keep the unsigned original and the signed copy as separate files.

If the PDF is encrypted, remove protection only when you have authorization and the correct password. If it contains an existing cryptographic signature, editing it may affect validation; check the recipient's requirements before changing the document.

When a different service is needed

Some recipients require verified identity, signing certificates, multi-party signing or detailed audit records. This tool does not provide those functions. Ask the recipient which format and signing process they accept rather than assuming a visible signature meets every requirement.

The standalone signing operation runs in your browser. PDF signing does not require server processing.
