Where are documents processed?
On the staff member's own device, in the browser tab. The hosted Team plan serves static JavaScript from a CDN; the only network traffic is loading the app itself. Self-hosted deployments serve that JavaScript from your infrastructure.
Do you need a data-processing agreement?
We don't process personal data in your documents because we never receive it. We are happy to sign your DPA anyway to keep procurement simple; it will be a short one.
What about the OCR and background-removal models?
Both run in the browser (Tesseract.js and ONNX models). Model weights download once from a CDN; document pixels never leave the device.
Can we audit it?
Yes. The client is vanilla JavaScript built with Vite. Self-hosted customers receive the source with every release.
